I have two mid-term exams this week. But, you know what, I had such a good weekend that I am okay with it. (say what?!) Yes it really was that great of a weekend.
I’m not Irish, but I’m all about holidays and any reason to celebrate. On Friday, we checked out a couple of band’s at Fort Sanders Fest hype party, which is a concert going down in Knoxville in April. Below is a photo of Backup Planet. They never cease to put on a great show.
To all my locals, check out the deets on Fort Sanders Fest here.
On Saturday we headed to Market Square with our friend Taz and listened to some local Irish music. John had his first legal “Lucky” Margarita, because who doesn’t like a buzz at 12:30 in the afternoon? (did I mention I love holidays?)
And the best part of it all? It was 70 degrees and sunny. I finally got to break out my favorite denim cut-offs.
It is raining now and I’m studying. But like I said, I can’t even complain.
Well, I have to get back to studying stocks and dividends (……) so I’ll leave you with proof that the sun does sometimes exist in Knoxville and an Irish blessing.
“May the blessing of light be on you—
light without and light within.
May the blessed sunlight shine on you
and warm your heart
till it glows like a great peat fire.”
